ODISHA NEW MUNICIPALITIES & NACs LIST 2024

Bhubaneswar 24/02/2024 -:Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced 34 new NACs and 5 new Municipalities.

5 new municipalities are -: Boudhgarh in Boudh District, Karanjia in Mayurbhanj District, Kantabanji in Balangir District and Chhatrapur and Aska in Ganjam District. Earlier these were NACs, now they have been upgraded to municipalities .

34 new NACs are - Pallahada and Chendipada in Angul District, Basta and Simulava in Balesore District, Paikmal and Veden in Bargarh District, Agarpada in Bhadrak, Belpada and Saiktala in Balangir district, Binjharpur, Panikoli, Jarka and Chandikhol in Jajpur District, Jayapatna in Kalahandi District, Raikia in Kandhamal District, Borigumma in Koraput District, Sinpali in Nuapada District, Chandili, Muniguda and Bishmaktak in Rayagada district, Dunguripali in Sonepur  Banei in Sundergarh District, Shergarh and Kukudakhandi in Ganjam District, Kontiloku in Nayagarh, Tangi and Begunia in Khordha District, Salepur, Badamba, Narsinghpur in Cuttack District, Niali, Betanti in Mayurbhanj district, Parjang in Dhenkanal District and Kantamal in Boudh District have been announced as new NACs.

The total number of URBAN BODIES in the state has reached 149. Among them, there are 5 metropolitan corporations, 52 municipalities, and 92 NACs. 

• 34 new NACs have been formed in 20 districts of the state.
• 5 NACs in 4 districts have been upgraded to Municipalities.

Date-25.02.2024 -:Birmaharajpur of Subarnapur District has been included in NAC. Which has increased the number of new NACs to 35.
