SATYANARAYAN RAJGURU

  SATYANARAYAN RAJGURU Satyanarayan Rajguru, the famous literary and researcher of the country. He is a curator and epigraphist of the Odisha State Archives and an Academy Award-winning writer. He was born on August 19, 1903 in Parlakhemundi. He started working as manager at Padmanav Rangalya in Parlakhemundi, Odisha's first theater at that time. At this time he was associated with the activities of the Uttkal Conference. In 1947, he joined the Kalinga Historical Research Committee. From 1950 to 1961, he held the charge of epigraphist after the charge of Curator of Records in the Odisha State Museum. During the research related to history, he visited various places of Odisha, collected many stone inscriptions, studied them and recovered important information. SUBARNAJHARAN WATERFALL , SIMILIPAL NATIONAL PARK

  Baripada, 3/9: There are still many unexplored and unexplored places in Similipal National Park. "Mayurbhanj Mirro", an institution which has been working for many years to bring such places to the attention of the public and develop tourism, has opened another unexplored waterfall. About 5 km from Subarnajhari near Satapitha is an interesting and unexplored 1115 foot high waterfall called Subarana jharan, 6-tiered Subarana jharan, 4 layers are visible while the other two layers are hidden in the green cover of glass leaves. Despite the fear of wild animals, the organization members Kumaresh Naik, Jayaprakash Singh, Sanat Barik, Ranjit Palei, Lokeshwar Bhanj, Vishwajit Marandi and Kailas Singh of Subarmanjhari village climbed the 18 km rugged road and 8.5 km hill to reach the waterfall.

KANTEIMUNDI BRINJAL GETS GI TAG

  KANTEIMUNDI BRINJAL GETS GI TAG Nayagarh 1/9/2023 : Gi tag has been found for the famous KANTEIMUNDI BRINJAL in the area of Khandpada Block kantilo. In February 2021, an application was submitted to the Geographical Indication Tag Authority, Chennai. Nilamadhav Agriculture Organization, Banpur, Sidhamula applied for GI status. Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) collaborated in this. District Collector Rabindra Nath Sahu has informed about this . As the first product of the district, this bringal has received GI recognition, and the district has expressed happiness. Now there is hope that the famous Nayagarh Chenapada will get GI status. The first cultivation was started in the areas of Dhanchangda, Lakshmiprasad, Kumundi, Fategarh of Bhapur block including Badbanpur, Ratanpur of Kanteimundi Bean Khadpada block.
